Pet Agreement
If your pet has been swimming please wash and dry your pet before allowing him/her inside (towels for pets are in the deck shed). Please try to keep your pet off the beds and furniture. Please wipe muddy, wet or dirty paws and fur before allowing the pet inside.
- TYPE OF PETS – We only allow well behaved dogs
- HOUSE BROKEN - All pets MUST BE housebroken
- FEE - There will be an additional $49 non-refundable fee.
- LEASHES - All pets MUST be under human control at all times. If you are traveling off the property they must be on a hand-held leash.
- REFUSE - Pet owners are responsible for properly cleaning up, and disposing of any and all pet refuse.
- RACCOONS and OTHER WILD ANIMALS TRAVEL THROUGH THE AREA. Please be aware that there are wild animals in the area such as raccoons, eagles, coyotes, otters, etc. While we’ve had no problems with these animals in the past, we know raccoons will be in the area at night. Please do not leave dog food or fresh water out at night, and please be wary of possible raccoon encounters if your dog is let out at night.
- BEACH SHELLS AND BARNACLES. Please be aware that sharp shells, barnacles, etc., on the beach can cut paws. Booties are available (pet shops, occasionally REI and other outdoor stores have carried them).
- VACCINATIONS - All pets are required to be up to date on rabies vaccinations, all other vaccinations and heartworm prevention.
- COLLARS/I.D. TAGS - Please have current I.D. tags so if your dog is lost it can be easily identified.
- FLEAS AND TICKS – All pets must be flea and tick free. All pets are to be treated with flea and tick repellent prior to arrival. There are ticks and fleas in the area as you are next to woods and on the water. Please be diligent and do not bring these pests into the house.
- FURNITURE - Please be responsible with your pets on the furniture. We love to cuddle with our pets but if your pet needs a bath or is otherwise in a condition not suitable for being on the furniture please keep them off. (e.g., nails need trimming, is dirty, has been in the water, etc).
- ILLNESS/INJURY - The home owners assume no responsibility for illness or injury that may incur to pets while on the premises.
- EXCESSIVE NOISE/BARKING, PET BEHAVIOR - Do not allow your pet to cause any noise (such as barking or whining) or other behavior that may be a nuisance to others in the area.
- COMPLAINTS - Complaints from any authorities or the neighbors could result in immediate termination of the rental agreement.
- DAMAGES - Any damage to the exterior or interior of the premises, grounds, furnishings, floor covering, walls, etc., caused by the pet will be the full financial responsibility of the pet owner and that pet owner agrees to pay all costs involved in the restoration to its original condition.
- HOLD HARMLESS - The renter agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend property owner or owner’s agents against all liability, judgments, expenses (including attorney’s fees), or claims by third parties for any injury to any person or damage to property of any kind whatsoever caused by their pet(s).
If you are bringing a pet, by payment of the deposit you are agreeing to all terms/conditions of this pet agreement.
